Level 1 PE

For the past few weeks in level one PE we have been training for the school athletics. I was training with some friends and improving with them aswell as having fun. We trained events like javelin, discus, shotput, high jump and 100 metre. We all tried our best in all the events leading upto the day. But we missed a few trainings due to covid and our school going into online learning. The reason I do pe is because it keeps me active and takes me outside of class.

This is Derrick Rose he is the youngest MVP in NBA history throughout his basketball career he has suffered many severe injuries and still pushes through them to drop 50 points on his first game back after injury. His mindset to improve is very inspirational

  1. Kia Ora Kody,
Thank you for sharing your influences around our training for the Athletics 1.3 Performance Standard. It was a shame that we had to reschedule our Athletics Day because of COVID, fingers crossed we can see it return before the end of term.
I am truly impressed that you have such a resilient role model to aspire too as bouncing back from a knock back is extremely tough and being able to manage that are valuable skills to learn.
What would be your Whakatauki that you would like to share that would reflect your mahi for this unit of training for Athletics Performance standard?
Look forward to reading it, and understanding what connection you had with it, in relation to your training for Athletics Day.
